Hey guys! So…. After my terrible attempt at blogmas went completely wrong, I decided to just post now some of the blogs that I’ve already wrote/ planned (like this one) and move on! I’m excited for the future. Anyhow! I decided to make another Taylor Swift related post, and share with you how I made a Christmas cake inspired by Taylor’s Christmas song, Christmas Tree Farm!! I used my mum’s recipe, so it turned out really well. Enjoy!
Pre- heat the oven to about 180C. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Put the yolks on the side in a small bowl, you’ll need it later. Put the egg whites inside of the mixer, and add the sugar. Mix it, until it looks something like this.
Now, slowly but surely add the rest of the ingredients (including the egg yolks), while still mixing. It should take a few minutes, mix everything until all of the ingredients blend with each other. Mine turned out looking something like this (see picture). Afterwards pour your mix into a rounded tray (you can use a different shape if you’d like of course, obviously it won’t change the cake in any way lol). You can pick up the tray and gently drop it or tap it in order to release air bubbles. Mine wouldn’t go away and the cake still turned out fine so don’t worry about it too much 🙂
Take your tray and place it in the pre-heated oven for at least 20 minutes. Wait until the cake looks golden, and poke it with a butter knife or a toothpick to see that it’s ready. Mine ended up looking like this.
OKAY, now your cake is ready! You can let it cool down and leave it as it is, or continue to decorate it with me. I left it to cool down for about 30-40 minutes , and in the meantime made my icing. I followed CupcakeJemma‘s recipe. Basically take the butter and mix it until it’s all fluffy and about twice its’ size. Then, slowly add the icing sugar, a little bit at a time, while still mixing. If needed, add a bit of milk until everything looks like you’d want it to. It should be looking like this.
Now, decorate it!! You can do whatever you want. Because I’m making a “Christmas Tree Farm” inspired cake, I used green and red food coloring to color some of the icing, while leaving some white icing in a different bowl. Then, I leveled the cake until I was satisfied with it, and covered it with white icing.
Now I simply decorated the cake- I took the green icing and drew big pine trees using a toothpick. I then wrote on the cake “Christmas Tree Farm” using the red food coloring. The cake is delicious, and so is the icing, so even though it ended up looking funny I really liked it- and so did my family! I hope you enjoy / enjoyed making your version of this cake as well :))
AND THAT’S IT!
Happy new year everybody! I had the best time ever with you this month, and this year. I’m really happy with how this blog has done this year. I’d like to thank you all so much for everything! <33 TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! If you go out to celebrate, take a mask! Wear it! Drink water! I love you, you’re doing amazing.
Hello world, and welcome to blogmas day seventeen!
I don’t know about you, but I love numbers! And today’s blogmas’ number is 17, which is my age, so I got excited typing the header lol. But anyway, welcome back! I hope that you’re all doing well. I’m at my grandparents’ house as I’m typing this! We finally got the chance to visit them, which is exciting. I have talked about music a few times on here, as I love it more than anything in the world. In today’s blog I will be sharing with you some cozy & wintery songs that you can add to your playlist! Feel free to type any other songs that you feel will add to the ~vibe~ that we’re trying to create here 🙂 Enjoy! You can press on the name of a song to listen to it!
And that’s it! Today’s blog is a bit shorter than usually, but if you’re new here then you can go and read previous blogs- and if you’re an OG then just wait until tomorrow! I’m excited to be sharing with you so many great and awesome blogs in the future. Thank you for sticking around, make sure to comment other fun, cozy songs! I’ll be checking your guys’ songs out. Take care! I’m sending all of my love <33 See you tomorrow!
How have you all been? I hope that all is well! Not a lot changed since yesterday… My friend came over and we watched some TV and made pasta! Also I finally finished reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. But that’s about it 🙂 Since 2020 was a wild year, in which we all stayed inside for quite a while, I bet that most people ended up spending a lot of time on streaming websites and apps. One of the most popular one is Netflix, so that’s the one I’ll be talking about today. We don’t really know for how long we’re gonna stay inside for, so I decided to share with you my top favorite shows on Netflix from this year! So here they are, in no particular order 🙂
The show You is following a guy named Joe, who at first seems like a normal person- he’s working in an old book shop, he’s super nice, good looking, funny, smart… Until he meets a girl named Beck. When Beck enters his little book shop, Joe talks to her and ends up developing a crush. However, soon enough that little friendly crush turns into an obsession- Joe does everything in his power to keep Beck safe and close to him, even if it means going completely out of line and doing things most people would not do. The show You is portraying a story line of one big true crime case, through the killer and the stalker’s’ eyes.
I really love true crime, so I immediately loved the show. Obviously, it’s not a real story, but it sure is an interesting one. I found myself confused quite a lot while watching the show. On one hand, there’s Joe- the main character, the one you’re rooting for. On the other hand, it’s pretty clear that Joe isn’t a good guy, that he isn’t someone that you should be rooting for. But then again, the show is from his point of view… It’s all very confusing and interesting. I really liked how smart and complicated yet easy to follow the story line is, even though sometimes I think that Joe is a complete idiot. In conclusion, the show You is a great show, especially if you like true crime. It’s going by fast, and you find yourself half way done before even realizing that you even started.
Brooklyn 99 is a show that portrays the every day life of the police officers in the 99th Precinct in Brooklyn in a comedic way. The show is fictional, so it’s not actually real officers and all, but it is quite funny. Every character has their own issues and problems, so seeing everyone together is quite interesting and funny. I don’t really have a lot to say about this show, except for the fact that it’s funny, serious at times, and definitely interesting. I loved how they covered in it many important issues with a touch of humor. Brooklyn 99 is such a great show, and I would recommend it to literally anyone.
How I Met Your Mother
The show How I Met Your Mother is about Ted Mosby, a father to two, who’s telling his kids the story of how he met their mother (obvious much?). However, instead of having a 5 minutes conversion about the matter, Ted spreads out the story onto 9 seasons, telling his kids all about the mistakes, the relationships and friendships that he experienced as a young man living with his friends in New York. The show reminded me quite a lot of Friends, yet, for some reason (don’t kill me) I liked it even more. I feel like apart from the humor, this show has some sense of seriousness to it, and you can’t help but fall in love with the characters and their stories. I found myself relating to every single character in one way or the other, laughing at their jokes and crying when they were sad. This show is also a good representation of how the journey is more important then the final destination (as the ending sucked in my opinion).
I would really recommend watching How I Met Your Mother if you’re looking for a show to binge watch, or the other way around- a show with short episodes that you can watch every now and then. It’s fantastic.
Moving right along How I Met Your Mother, a very similar show is Friends. Friends is a show following a bunch of friends, living and working in New York. It’s really funny, and just like the previous one, you can’t help but fall in love with each and every single character. It’s interesting and light, so you don’t end up feeling tired after watching it. I feel like everyone knows or have watched this show, so I won’t waste your time talking about it too much. It’s great, it’s funny, it’s relatable and you should definitely watch it if you haven’t 🙂
And that’s it for today’s blog!
Thank you so freaking much for reading and sticking around! We just hit 40 followers a few days ago, and I wanted to thank you so so so much! I can’t believe that that many people are interested in what I have to say. WEIRD. I’m so thankful! I hope that you take a good care of yourself, drink water and wear a mask! See you very soon!
“Cause when you’re fifteen….” Hey guys! hello again. I hope that you’re all doing well. As 2021 is getting closer, I decided to write a blog in which I introduce you to some of my favorite albums from this current year. I believe that music can be quite intimate, as we usually listen to stuff that we relate to in some kind of way. I mean, you can tell a lot about a person by listening to their favorite songs. So I guess that in today’s post you’ll get to know me better, in that way! Let me know if you like any of these albums in the comments- I’d love to be your friend, and it’ll be cool if we like the same stuff! If not, then let me know what are some of your favorite albums, as I’d like to get to know you guys better as well 🙂
okay so I’m sure that I made it pretty clear in the past that I’m a swiftie. Actually, Taylor ended up being my favorite artist on Spotify. I think that I will just talk about all of her favorite albums of mine this year together. So the Taylor Swift album that were my favorite this year were folklore, of course, reputation and Speak Now. I have listened to all of her albums, but these ones were my favorite.
In folklore, which is maybe (I can’t decide) my favorite album of hers, my favorite song is august. It ended up being my most listen-to song. Honestly, it’s so cute and relatable 🥺 I love everything about it. I also like the songs mirrorball, peace, the lakes and betty. Though they all are my favorite, there are no skips on this album. In reputation I’ve mostly listened to Don’t Blame Me, I Did Something Bad, Dancing With Our Hands Tied, Delicate and …Ready For It? (once again though, I love them all). I like how folklore makes you feel like an old woman drinking tea by an open window, while reputation makes you feel like a young, evil queen dancing in the rain.
In Speak Now, my favorite songs are (and were this year) Speak Now, Dear John, Better Than Revenge and Long Live. I’ve only lately started to listen to Taylor’s older albums, and I can’t say that I’m disappointed. The vibes this album gives me is a young girl who just finished high school talking about her experiences within it. And yup, that’s just where I am in life, so maybe that’s why I feel like I can relate to her older songs, and this album especially.
Once again, as I’ve been listening to both of Harry’s albums, I’ll talk about them together 🙂 I’ve always knew who Harry was, and I kind of liked One Direction back in the day, but it was only this year that I’ve actually started to really listen and like his songs and albums.
In Harry Styles, his self-titled album, my favorite songs this year were Sign Of The Times, Two ghosts, Sweet Creature and Kiwi. I feel like this album can be divided to two- some of the songs make you feel like a deep, lonely person who’s walking outside quietly on an empty street. The other part makes you feel like a badass, lead singer in a rock band. Or at least that’s what I think.
Fine Line is a bit harder to divide, as each song is really different with a different vibe. You can sense some songs that were written about a break up- some happier, and some sadder. There are songs about love, self acceptance… Watermelon sugar… you know. All the feels. My favorite songs from the album this year were Golden, Cherry, Falling, She and Treat People With Kindness. But again, no skips. Love this album to the moon and the Saturn.
Spirit Orb- Chloe Moriondo
This is actually an EP, and not an album, but I definitely listened to this one a lot so I decided to share. I’m not gonna tell you my favorite songs off this EP, as there are only four songs, but I will say how awesome they all are. I love how each song is so very different from the other, but yet somehow they all give the same vibe and feeling. I relate to literally every single song, so I feel understood when listening to this EP. I also play the ukulele, so I love to play and sing along to the songs! This EP is awesome, and I would for sure recommend it to literally anyone, but especially to the younger people who feel alone in their world.
the masquerade- mxmtoon
Haven’t listened to this one in some time, but it’s so nice and great. Just like Chloe’s EP, this album was one that I’ve listen to during the beginning of the year mostly, but I felt super understood while doing so. My favorite songs from this album are probably unspoken words, suffice, blame game, high & dry, my ted talk and dream of you (almost all of them oops. I truly love everything, those are just the ones that I’ve listened to non-stop). Honestly I feel like Maia literally wrote these songs about me. I relate to every single one! You should definitely check the masquerade now if you enjoy soft, bedroom pop. It’s really so good.
And that’s it for today’s blog!
I don’t really know what else to add. Those were my most listened to albums! I also loved Ariana Grande’s new album, but I haven’t included it in the blog as I didn’t listen to it as much. But yes 🙂 Thank you so much for reading my post, I truly appreciate that. Stick around to read previous posts if you’d like, and follow for future #blogmas posts! Let me know what are your favorite albums in the comments! Take care of yourself, and make sure to drink a ton of water and eat! You deserve it. Love you <33 See you tomorrow!
How have you all been? Since yesterday I had time to visit my friend, and we really had a blast talking, listen to music and watch some episodes of How I Met You Mother. But anyway… A few days ago I uploaded the fun day in Tel Aviv blog, in which I told you that I bought a few new records and a book. So in today’s blog I thought that it would be cool to post a haul of what I got! I’m already gonna say this, if you’re here for the book then just know that there’s only one 🙂 I couldn’t find anything else that I liked. So yeah lol let’s just go right into it, starting with the records as I bought them first :))
Ed Sheeran – ×
This record is probably my favorite Ed Sheeran album, I’ve listen to it so many times back in 2017-18. It was the first album that I recognized in the store, so my mum was kind enough to get it for me. I like how the record looks, and I would definitely recommend it.
My favorite MJ album! It’s a used one, but honestly it works fine and I love it. My favorite songs from this record are probably “Man In The Mirror”, “Smooth Criminal” and “The Way You Make Me Feel”. But really all of the songs are awesome. I would really recommend it, especially if you like old kind of pop!
Again, probably my favorite album from this artist! I also love TUN, but I got excited that I could find an older album! I could buy TUN from her website any day, but YT is a little bit harder to find I think. Anyway, I love this record and the songs on this album, would 10/10 recommend. While listening to it again I realized how similar to Mariah Carey Ariana Grande sounds.
And lastly, the book! I randomly found this book in an old shop, and decided to get it. I heard so much good feedback about Brown’s work so I’m excited to check it out. I’m planning to finish reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets today so I’ll start reading this book soon! I’ll tell you what I think about it once I’m done. If you’ve read it, let me know what you thought about it!
And that’s about it for today! This is the second book- related blog this blogmas, and what about it. I hope that you enjoyed reading this, and I’d like to thank you for doing so. Stick around if you’d like to see previous posts of mine, and follow for future blogmas posts! Take care of yourself! See you tomorrow.
Hello world, and welcome to blogmas day thirteen! 🍂
How are you all? I hope that you’re doing well! Not a lot changed since yesterday- I posted blogmas day twelve kind of late, so ever since then I had time to take my dog out, eat breakfast and shower lmao. And here I am, writing this 🙂 I love reading books so much, so I figure that making a blog dedicated to books will be a good idea. 2020 has been a rough year, physically for some people, and mentally for others. I know many people that dealt with quarantine differently- some watched TV, others saw movies, read books or listened to music. Sadly I barely read during lockdown, partly because I was so mentally exhausted everyday, and partly because I just wasn’t in the mood to deal with characters’ lives and worlds, when I could barely figure out what’s going on in my own. But even though I didn’t read as much as I would’ve liked to, I have read some books, and here are my top 5, in no particular order.
1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
So this one is kind of a classic that I’ve read twice this year. It’s really festive, cozy and comforting. I love the Harry Potter series, and I really recommend it if you’re looking for something nice to read. In case you’ve been living under a rock, here’s a short recap for you- The book is following Harry Potter, who lives with his awful aunt, uncle and cousin. On his 11th birthday, Harry finds out that he’s a wizard, and not just any wizard, but the only one who survived a killing curse. Harry starts to go to Hogwarts- the school for wizards and witches. Along with his friends, Ron and Hermione, Harry finds out that something strange is up at Hogwarts. Together, they figure out the troubles and face a one of the strongest wizard in the wizarding world.
You can get Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone right here!
2. My Favorite Murder- Stay Sexy and Don’t Get Murdered by Karen Kilgariff & Georgia Hardstark
Even though I didn’t include it in my podcast recommendations post, My Favorite Murder is one of my favorite podcasts! I especially listened to it in the beginning of the year, so I got super excited when I found out that they wrote a book! My Favorite Murder is a crime podcast, but in their book Karen and Georgia tell real stories from their life, each of them ending with a life lesson. I really enjoyed reading their book, and might even read it again in 2021! I would recommend reading this book even if you haven’t listened to too many episodes of MFM, or even if you don’t really like true crime that much. The stories are really interesting and inspiring! I loved it <33
You can get My Favorite Murder- Stay Sexy and Don’t Get Murdered right here!
3. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Twilight is another classic, honestly. I know that many people have mixed feelings about this book series, but I personally think that it’s quite nostalgic and cozy in a way. I read this book in Hebrew, so that’s why it’s in Hebrew in the picture. This book follows Bella Swan, who moves to live in Forks with her father. She falls in love with a guy named Edward Cullen from her biology class. However, she soon finds out that maybe Edward isn’t as normal as she thinks he is… This book is really cute and romantic, and I would recommend it if you’re looking for a new series to dive into :))
The same book as Twilight, except from Edward’s point of view. I don’t think that I’ll speak too much about it, as I previously wrote a whole review on the book! You can read it here if you’d like. If not, let me just say that it’s such a great book, especially if you liked Twilight. You get to learn so much more about the characters and about Edward and his thoughts. But anyway, great book. Would rate 10/10 no doubt.
Okayy so this last one is definitely one of the best books I’ve ever read. It literally broke me. Not kidding. I had to rearange my entire room after reading it, cause I just couldn’t stand being trapped in there anymore. I’m not even gonna give you a short recap because I’ll start to cry. If you love romance- READ IT. It’s so damn good. Just trust me.
Thank you so much for choosing to spend your time reading my blog. I hope that you’ll give any of the books a read- they’re really good, trust me! Let me know which are your favorite books? Especially ones that you’ve read in 2020. Follow if you’d like to see future blogmas, and stick around to read previous posts! Take care of yourself, it’s super important! See you tomorrow, hopefully!
How have you all been? I’m excited to be posting again. Today, my mother and I went to a fun day in Tel Aviv, and I’m really excited to tell you all about it. Yesterday I returned back to writing and posting, and I posted my review on the“evermore” album by Taylor Swift. You can check it out here if you’d like 🙂 Anyway, there aren’t many updates or things that are important at the moment, so let’s get right into it, shall we?
December 13, 2020 💽
Alright. So we both woke up around 7:30, got prepare, and drove to the nearest train station. We barely got there on time, but soon enough we both got our tickets and hopped on the train. Our train ride was about an hour and twenty minutes long, and we had to keep it down because there were other people on the train as well, so we each did our own thing. At first I read about a chapter and a half of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, then I listened to some music through my headphones. Once we arrived to Tel Aviv we got off the train, and started to make our way by foot to the “Sarona Market”. All the way there we talked and it was great. It was a bit weird because I’m used to being in Tel Aviv with my friends, so being there with my mum felt funny. Also I’m walking really fast, while she walks slow as hell. But sure enough we made it to the market. The place was actually really sad looking, because everything was close. The Sarona Market is actually a food market, and usually you can find there many food stands. But almost everything ended up being closed because of the corona virus. Anyway, the place still looked really pretty. Here are two picture: one that I took on the way there, and another that I took inside of the market.
Afterwards we decided to leave, as there wasn’t much to do in the empty market. I knew a small shortcut, so pretty quickly we arrived to the “Fashion Mall”. It’s a pretty big mall, and my mum never went to see it, so I was excited to bring her there. However, just like the Sarona Market the place was really empty, so we ended up wandering around the streets outside of the mall. We found a few pets shops, and looked for something to get for my dog. We didn’t find anything, but it was still really funny looking around the stores, making fun of how fast she’ll ruin a certain toy and such. But anyway, at some point we decided to go over to “Dizengoff Center”, which is a huge mall.
We made it to Dizengoff Center, and went inside. I tried to look for some Taylor Swift records, but they only had 1989, which was way too expensive for my budget. I also tried to look for Harry Styles’ issue of Vogue, along with Taylor Swift’s latest issue of theRolling Stones, but they didn’t have neither. We walked inside, and overall had a lot of fun. We actually ended up not buying there anything, but still we had a lot of fun. Funny story- when my mum was younger she used to visit and go to that center all the time, and there was one store that she loved the most. It was a “fairy forest” kind of store- super magical and all. This is actually a store that I love to visit with my friends! So we knew that we had to visit it. The only problem- Dizengoff Center is HUGE, and you almost always get lost in it. We literally went through the entire mall, but couldn’t find it. I ended up texting my friend and asking for her help, and only then we found the store. We didn’t get anything from there, but it was really funny ’cause we spent at least a good half an hour looking for it. We also saw a really cool music store, but the waiting line was so long so I just decided not to go inside at all.
We stopped for drinking an iced coffee, and left the center. We just walked around the streets of Tel Aviv, having so much fun. We looked around at the stores, talked, and searched for hand me down books and records. We found an old record store, and I brought there three records! I’m currently listening to them while typing this. We also found a super old book store, and even though they didn’t have many good books that I liked, I bought one for only 10₪, which is a really really good price! Maybe I’ll make a haul of what I got in a future blog. But anyway, when we decided to go back we were really far away from the train station, so we took a bus. We were stuck in traffic, so during that time I took a better look at the book, and realized that we have that same book at home, in Hebrew. It was really cool! I never read it, and usually I prefer to read books in the original language they were written in if I can, so I don’t know, it was really cool and made me really excited and happy to read it. But finally we made it to the train station. We were starving, but because of covid you couldn’t eat inside the station. We bought some burgers and fries, and sat outside on the sidewalk to eat. We probably looked so funny, but that’s cool because we were so hungry we couldn’t care less. And finally, we were on the train, on our way home.
Oh! I forgot to add, when we were in the record shop, my mum bought an old Mariah Carey album that she used to listen to when she was my age. So on our drive back home we played it really loudly and she sang and it was really funny and lovely and great.
And That’s it! :))
There’s blogmas day twelve for you. Thank you for choosing to spend your time reading my blog. It means so much to me! Happy birthday to miss Taylor Swift, and happy one year since the release of “Fine Line”, Harry Styles’ second studio album. Take care of yourself and your friends and family, especially during these times. I hope you’re doing well! You’re so fricking golden, just let me adore you! <333 see you all tomorrow!
How are you all? Let me start off by saying sorry for not keeping up with blogmas- I literally had the most stressful week ever. However, I’m back now, and I think that I’ll be posting the days the I’ve missed anyway, just late. I had so many great ideas for blogmas, and I even started writing some of them. It’ll be a shame to let that all go to waste 🙂 anyways, two days ago Taylor freaking Swift announced that her 9th studio album, “evermore”, would be out soon. WTH?? I think that I made it quite clear that I am a swiftie, so hearing that was insane to me! You can probably guess how excited I was.
Last time, when “folklore” came out, I live twitted my thoughts on the album. It was probably the best thing I could’ve done, as it was really cool going back and reading my first thoughts on the album. For example, I didn’t say too much about “august”, which ended up being my favorite song. It’s funny seeing my first impression of it. So I decided that today’s blogmas would be my first impression of the tracks of “evermore”! Then in a month or so I will post another blog, reacting and updating this one. I thought that I could be fun, so hopefully you will enjoy this as much ❤ But well, here we go! If you’re also a fan of taylor’s work, let me know your thoughts on the album in the comments below.
Okay so first of all the music video is insanely good? Dude I literally teared up, I love how she kept the “folklore” vibe and references. The “invisible string” made me so happy, and I absolutely love how magical everything is. 10/10 no doubt. The music- holy cow.. she did it again. I really like the lyrics, and the music is so magical and mysterious. I read on twitter that someone said that this song kinda reminded them of “I think he know“, and I totally agree! I also love how she went from “is it cool that I said all that” to “that’s my man”. Definitely loved this one <33 My favorite lines from the song at the moment are “show me the places where the others gave you scars” and “I’m like the water when your ship rolled in that night, rough on the surface, but you cut through like a knife”.
AHHH I think that so far this one is one of my favorite. I love the happy piano, along with the sad lyrics. I also read online that this song is about someone with mental illness, who had trouble committing to a marriage. That’s so sad! But any who, I don’t even know if that’s true- I just simply love the song. At first I thought that Taylor broke up with her boyfriend lmao but nah. So yes, I love this song so much. My favorite lines from the song at the moment are “”this dorm was once a madhouse” I made a joke, “Well, it’s made for me””, “she would’ve made such a lovely bride, what a shame she’s fucked in the head” and “you won’t remember all my champagne problems”.
I like “gold rush” as well, but it ain’t my favorite. I love how she says the word “folklore” in it, and I love the lyrics ’cause they’re incredible as always. I feel like this song would be a good one to clean my room and do my chores to? Just because it has a good beat, but also it’s soft so it won’t distract me from my work. My favorite lines from the song at the moment are “I don’t like that falling feels like flying ’til the bone crush” and “my mind turns your life into folklore”.
So I haven’t listened to this enough to say that this is my favorite song or anything, but I do think that it’s quite cool. I love the title, especially considering the fact that this song came out during December. The lyrics also hit close to home, and now listening and hearing them is kind of making me sad in a good way lol. This song for some reason reminds me of “illicit affairs“, maybe because of the lyrics and the vibe. I need to listen to this more before I can have more of an opinion on the song 🙂 My favorite lyrics from the song at the moment are “and wonder about the only soul who can tell which smiles I’m fakin'”, “the heart I know I’m breakin’ is my own” and “to leave the warmest bed I’ve ever known”.
I actually only listen to this song about one or two times, so I don’t have much of an opinion on it yet. I know that since it’s track number five, it means a lot to Taylor and it’s quite emotional. And well after going over the lyrics again, it really is! I love the lyrics so much, but I’ll have to listen to it some more before I can fully express my love to it. My favorite lines from this songs are “I notice everything you do or don’t do”, “use my best colors for your portrait”, “I know my love should be celebrated” and lastly “I sit and watch you”.
THIS SONG IS SO GOOD I CANNOT STRESS IT ENOUGH. I love true crime and I listen to so many podcasts about it daily. So I was super excited when I heard the song. I love the storyline, the lyrics, the music, the vibe, the background vocals, EVERYTHING. Truly. It’s so amazing and viby and I enjoyed listening to it all day today during a car ride. I love it. My favorite lines from the song are “I’ve cleaned enough houses to know how to cover up a scene, good thing Este’s sister’s gonna swear she was with me”, “(She was with me, dude)” and “they think she did it, but they just can’t prove it, she thinks I did it, but she just can’t prove it”.
Again, this one isn’t one that I’ve listened to too many times. What I do remember from the times that I’ve heard it is that it’s really sad! I definitely will be listening to it a few more times for the next blog, reacting to this one. My favorite line from the song is “There’ll be happiness after you, but there was happiness because of you”.
So I haven’t listen to this one as much as well (lmao I really need to work on that, don’t I) but people assume that this song is written from the “’tis the damn season” speaker’s lover. So it sound really cool. I kind of like it so far, but I’ll have to listen to it some more before making up an opinion about it. My favorite lines from the song are “but are you still the same soul I met under the bleachers?” and “you got shiny friends since you left town”.
So “coney island”, along with “ivy”, are the songs that I’ve listen to the least. Like, I don’t even have favorite lines or lyrics at the moment- I can’t even remember any! I’ll definitely have to listen to both of them more times before forming any opinion about them.
I actually kind of expected this one to be similar to the song “betty” from “folklore”, but honestly I don’t really see it now. I need to listen to it more, but I like the storyline and I feel like I’d love this person’s point of view once I get to know them. My favorite line from this song at the moment is “takes one to know one, you’re a cowboy like me”.
So I actually listen to this one a few more times then the rest of the songs! When I first heard it I thought that this was another song from August’s point of view, because the music at the beginning really reminded me of the music at the beginning of “august”. The lyrics also made sense for it to be true. But Taylor said that there is not song from Betty/James/August’s point of view, so it’s not lol. But either way, I love this song so much, and I can already tell that I will love it even more. My favorite lines from this song at the moment are “long story short, it was a bad time” and “long story short, I survived”.
So if you didn’t know, in “folklore” the 13th track was written about Taylor’s grandfather. So the 13th track in “evermore” is written about her grandmother. Honestly, this song hit really hard, it’s so beautiful and yet sad. It made me think a lot about my grandparents and my relationship with them. I love it, and will probably love it even more in the future. My favorite lines are “never be so politе, you forget your power. Nevеr wield such power, you forget to be polite” and “I should’ve asked you questions”.
So with both of these songs- I haven’t really decided what I think about them, I’ll have to listen to them over and over again. “closure” is sad, and relatable. “evermore” is also kind of sad I think, though I only listen to it once. It was weird for me hearing another Taylor and Bon Iver song, though it’s probably only because I’m not used to it yet. I currently don’t have favorite lines from either song.
THAT’S IT! This is today’s blog. It’s really long, so I’m super grateful if you choose to read all of it. I came back strong! lmao. But anyway, I really need to go to sleep. So let me know what you thought of the album if you’ve listened to it! What are your favorite songs? I hope that you’re taking a good care of yourself. See you tomorrow, hopefully!
Hey you guys, how have you been? I can’t believe that it’s already been five whole days of me posting. I for real thought that I’d give up by now. But anyway, today I had a quiz in PE, which was so weird, but I got a good grade so that’s good. Also tomorrow I’m going back to school in person, and I’m so excited and looking forward to it! Today’s blog post is actually a little bit late, as editing the pictures took me longer then I thought it would. Originally I planed on doing a “clothes inspo” kind of blog, but since it took me so long I had to either give up completely on posting today, or just post what I already have. So here we are 🙂
In this blog I will share with you my top 4 favorite sweaters that I am planning to wear this year! They’re really cute, and I hope that this will inspire you. So to start off I just wanted to say that I’m wearing a white long shirt from Castro, which you can find here (it’s currently out of stock but you can wear any turtle neck top underneath your sweaters).
Okay, so this first sweater is from H&M, Divided. I couldn’t find a link for this one, I’m sorry. I bought it a while back, and I just think it looks so great. It’s kind of cropped, but it’s still really warm, baggy and nice. I would definitely recommend 🙂 I love it so much, especially wearing it with nice and long necklaces (which I’m not doing in the picture but you get the idea lol).
This next sweater is most definitely one of my favorites- the “cardigan” by Taylor Swift! I actually have the link for that one right here. I accidently bought it in one size bigger then what I needed, but I still love it so much (I wanted it to be baggy, so I thought that a bigger size would be a good idea. Turns out that it already is baggy, so it’s huge on me :)) It’s really warm, and I think that I would be wearing it daily if it wasn’t so big. But it’s to expensive to buy another one lmao.
The next sweater is one that I bought last year from Bershka. It’s currently unavailable, but here‘s the link just in case. I really love this one, and have been wearing it most of last year! It’s great, cozy and really pretty (and baggy, which you might have realized by now, I love!).
This last one I got a few days ago, from Golf! You can get it from here, the link is working and all is good. I really like this one, and I’m planning on wearing it tomorrow for school! It’s cozy and elegant and pretty. I love it <33
That’s it for today!
This blog was rather short, but honestly you don’t have any idea how much I had to work for it. Thank you for chosing to spend your time reading my posts! I appriciate that so so much. Stick around for more if you’d like to read my previous blog posts, and follow for more blogmas posts! Take care of yourself, and please wear a mask. See you tomorrow!
Hey everyone, how are you? I hope you’re doing well. I’m actually writing today’s blog early for a change, so hey, I might even put it up on time lol. So not a lot changed since yesterday. I’ve had some time to read, so I got really further into my book while listening to “folklore” on my record player. Now I’m just catching up on some people’s vlogmas, while typing this.
This year was a bloody weird one, and since usually I listen to my podcasts on the bus, I didn’t have as many listening sessions as I do every year. But still, some podcasts helped keep me company while I was at home, hanging up the laundry or washing the dishes. And I thought- well, might as well share them with you! So grab yourself a cup of tea, your headphones, open your listening up, and let’s get into them podcasts.
So the first podcast I will talk about today is “Pretty Basic” with Alisha Marie and Remi Cruz. I’ve been watching Alisha and Remi’s vlogs and videos for a while now, and got super excited when I found their podcast, two years ago. Alisha and Remi are both lifestyle youtubers and best friends.
In their podcast they’re talking about their life, experiences, failed and successful dates, mental health and so on. I really like their chemistry, and how they’re managing to hold an equal and flowing conversations. Sometimes I really relate to what they’re going through, and sometimes I simply enjoying listening to someone else’s life. Either way, I always feel included in their conversations, I always laugh along at the jokes and get serious or sad when needed. I’ve been listening to their pod ever since the beginning, so I’ve probably listen to every single episode already. Take it from me- “Pretty Basic” is pretty great if you’re looking for a new laundry buddy.
Related to “Pretty Basic” and just as good is “Unsolicited Advice”. The co-host Ashley Nicole is Alisha Marie’s older sister, and also a lifestyle youtuber. Along with her best friend and co- host, Taryne Renee, the two give unsolicited advice to their listeners!
They talk about every-day, random struggles we all deal with- family drama, dating, best friends problems and work related stuff as well. Just like with “Pretty Basic”, I love the chemistry between the two, their jokes (especially dad jokes) and their big-sisters energy. I’ve listened to every episode of their podcast as well (except for an interview or something) and I love hearing how understanding and positive the girls are. I would really recommend this podcast as well, especially if you’re your friend group’s therapist.
Speaking of therapy, “Teenager Therapy” is definitely the podcast for you if you’re, well, a teenager! It is a podcast created by five seniors in high school (they started the pod when they were sophomores I believe), in which they talk about their life- ups and lows, or in their words: “a podcast that’s a coming of age story portrayed in real time”.
I really like how their podcast is full of mistakes and failure as well as their successes. I really like how they disagree with each other in addition to supporting each other, and their “character development”. “Teenager Therapy” is truly an unfolding story line, and I really enjoy listening to how each of the guys (and Kayla) learn from their mistakes and repeat what they’ve done well. One of my favorite episode of theirs is the one where Gael, one of the guys, talks about a relationship he had with someone. Another favorite episode of mine is the one where they talk through their friendship and its problems. I would recommend this to anyone, especially to a teenager in high school. Their podcast is really one of those rare things in life that shows you how you’re not alone.
Extra Dynamic with ur mom ashley
The “Extra Dynamic” podcast is the last one for today. The podcast host is ur mom ashley, who’s a youtuber as well. In her podcast, Ashley is mostly talking to and interviewing her brother and sister, her parents, her boyfriend and her friends. They’re usually talking about life, catching up or talking about whatever big thing they have going on.
I’ve been watching Ashley and her siblings on YouTube for a while now, so I got excited when I heard that she’s starting a podcast. I enjoy listening to her podcast because it is so easy to relate to, it’s funny and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this podcast to anyone really, as long as you’re interested in hearing a bunch of people having a conversation. I love it, I’ve listen to every episode and I’d do it again 🙂
And that’s it!
Thank you so much for making it to the end of this blog. If you’d like, you can stick around and read some of my previous blog posts. Follow for future blogmas posts, as well 🙂 Make sure to take care of your body and your mental health, remember to take a break when needed. I will see you tomorrow with a new blog! Happy December!
